Congratulations to our Community Kickstart Grant recipient – Australian Bosnian Women’s Association
We’re absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news! We’re pleased to announce that Australian Bosnian Women’s Association has been chosen as the well-deserved recipient of the 2025 ISPT Community Kickstart Grant! They’ll be receiving a $10,000 grant to help them continue their incredibly important work right here in the community.
The Australian Bosnian Women’s Association, is a vibrant and welcoming space dedicated to empowering women from all walks of life, particularly their Bosnian and migrant sisters. They passionately believe in fostering mental, emotional, and social well-being, celebrating their rich cultural identity and embracing integration into the wider Australian community.
With the Community Kickstart Grant, we will be able to launch their “Women’s Wellness & Connection Program,” a six-month initiative offering free weekly workshops and social gatherings. This program will directly support 100-140 women, focusing on crucial areas like Wellbeing & Mental Health, Skills & Empowerment, and Community & Connection. By providing a safe and inclusive environment, they will empower elderly women, single mothers, and those experiencing disadvantage to overcome social isolation, build resilience, and forge lasting connections, creating a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.
